Esta página empezó cuando un grupo de organizaciones comunitarias en Georgia se unieron para mitigar el impacto de COVID-19 en nuestra comunidad Latina/Hispana, inmigrante e indocumentada. La página ha evolucionado y es ahora el primer recurso para familias buscando recursos y para aprender sobre sus derechos civiles en Georgia.

This page began when a group of community organizations in Georgia got together to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in the Latinx, immigrant, and undocumented community. The page has evolved to become the premier resource for undocumented and Spanish-speaking individuals to find resources and learn about their civil rights.

  • Amigos de la Comunidad*:resources, support, and opportunities to improve our people’s lives.

  • El Refugio* :calls, post-release program & support for detainees in Stewart

  • GALEO*:voting rights, discrimination state-wide

  • La Amistad*: working to empower Latino students and families through after-school tutoring, parent education, English language courses, and educational summer enrichment programs.

  • Latin American Association*: Immigration services, economic empowerment, family stabilization & well being, civic engagement & advocacy, youth services

  • Latin American Chamber of Commerce- Georgia *: (small business, food and beverage navigation)

  • Latino Community Fund-LCF Georgia. FREE health screenings, public health education, immunization and tests, Know Your Rights, navigations, referrals, voter education, registration and protection, capacity building support for community groups, grants, and scholarships.

  • Little Book Spot*: promote and advocate for literacy for all.

  • Los Niños Primero*, ** high-quality education programs

  • Migrant Equity Southeast (MESE)*: health resources, educational resources, political resources, financial aid and food assistance (South Georgia)

  • Ser Familia*, ** (mental health, parenting, emergency support in Cobb and Gwinnett Counties)

  • Unidos Latinos Association*: Civic engagement, economic empowerment, family well-being, community outreach, immigration (Rockdale and Newton Counties)

  • Vecinos de Buford Highway*, **(tenant rights, advocacy, organizing and emergency assistance to low-income families living along Buford Highway)

  • We Love Buford Highway: (community and small business support along Buford Highway)

The Latino Community Fund membership is ALL Latinx-led, Latinx-governed and Latinx-serving organizations. We build community, we strengthen our network, we invest in each other. Most of the organizations featured here ARE members of the Latino Community Fund Georgia.

  • Some of us are focused on raising money, some provide direct services for parents, some work with youth and children, some of us educate and promote civic participation, others support tenants, some offer mental health services. All of us have different roles but are part of the same team. A team that builds community.

    Algunos nos centramos en recaudar fondos, otros en brindar servicios directos a padres, otros en trabajar con jóvenes y niños, otros en educar y promover la participación cívica, otros en apoyar a inquilinos, y otros en ofrecer servicios de salud mental.
